The West Coast is a pretty special place, especially in summer. The mountains seem to rise straight from the ocean, their slopes clad in a thick forest of lush, towering trees. Squamish, located at the head of Howe Sound, is home to world class rock climbing on the granite cliffs that poke out from among the trees.
It’s no surprise, then, that the annual Arc’teryx Climbing Academy is based out of this coastal mountain town. Now in it’s second year of being organized and run by Arc’teryx, the event will take place July 14 – 17, 2016.
The line-up looks fantastic, with keynote presentations by Peter Croft, Kate Rutherford and Dave Allfrey. Of course, there are also going to be clinics and seminars with a solid lineup of athletes including Will Gadd, Jonathan Siegrist, Will Stanhope, and Ines Papert.

I’m looking forward to the event, and can’t wait to hang out with all my West Coast friends. Who else is going to be there? Stoked!
